Qualifications:
High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs (or in progress) required.

Responsibilities:
A day in the life of a Patient Safety Sitter at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
Responsible for the safety of patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse Observes patient status for changes in behavior and reports all observations to the Registered Nurse Ensures patient safety by providing a safe environment, observes the patient's environments for safety risks and takes necessary steps to reduce the risk.
Applies appropriate interventions:
Observe, redirect, diversional activities.
Must be able to work in situations with isolation precautions.
Ensures positive patient and team interactions by promoting HMH core beliefs and standards of Maintains patient confidentiality and privacy and dignity.
Other duties and projects as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
